From nature's pantry to yours – all year round

Caroline, who runs Carolines Bi and Skafferi, will transition from producing food crafts in her home to a production facility and make local food available in the area through an unmanned store.

About the project

New initiative in Mölltorp: Craftsmanship, sustainability, and local food through a new production facility and unmanned store.

In Mölltorp outside Karlsborg, a sustainable initiative for locally produced food is now emerging. With support from Leader Nordvästra Skaraborg, Caroline Spångberg, founder of Carolines Bi & Skafferi, is starting a project to build a new production facility and an unmanned store.

The aim is to create long-term sustainable conditions for food craftsmanship based on locally grown raw materials – while providing more local entrepreneurs with a place to sell their goods.

The result will be increased production, reduced food waste, more collaborations, and an accessible place for customers to buy local food seven days a week.

”I have been at the crossroads of investing or giving up. This project is my decision to invest – because I and my customers believe in the company and the value of local food.”
