Destination Vänerriviera Otterbäcken

The project will develop Otterbäcken as a travel destination and as a place to want to live and thrive in through the development and renovation of Badängsparken.

About the project

The project focuses on equipment and development of four directions: recreation, play, boating, and business development. More visitors create greater revenues. Companies are inspired to create more services that provide satisfied customers and residents who become ambassadors for the area. Another purpose is to create a meeting place for residents and visitors to thereby increase integration and make the area grow.

The village association and Folkets Hus already in 2020 developed a proposal for measures for Badängsparken to increase the enjoyment in the area and put Otterbäcken on the map as a tourist destination. With that as background, this project will among other things implement:

Renovation of the lighthouse and bathing area as well as tidying up the area.
Preparation of a quay to create guest harbor spots for small boats and start a booking system.
Conversion of the sauna building into a service house for the small boat harbor.
Preparation of a recreation and playground with a dock and furniture.
