VAERNI SCENIC ART
Vaerni is an interdisciplinary work with dance and choreography by Elin Appell and Signe Willmarsson to newly composed music by Stina Tordby.
About the project
The music is performed by a trio consisting of Erik Natanael Gustavsson (neod, viola), Elias Gustavsson (percussion) and Esther Dorado (flute). The work will be created by local actors within Skaraborg and will premiere in Mariestad. The work is created by 9 artists within 5 different artistic expressions. The project is inspired by Vänern as a geographical and historical place, and by the people who live and have lived in symbiosis with the lake. The artists are inspired by the movements, colors, shapes, and sounds of the water. The project aims to highlight the significance of Vänern for the places and people around the lake.
