What if the preparedness of the future starts in your own garden?
In Lidköping, Götene and Mariestad, the Biosphere area starts the leader project Grow more edible! With the goal of increasing self-sufficiency through local cultivation, coaching and community.
About the project
In Lidköping, Mariestad and Götene, the project is now starting Grow more edible! – an initiative to help individuals grow, process and store their own food. The project is run by the Biosphere area Vänerskärgården with Kinnekulle in collaboration with Studiefrämjandet, and is funded through Leader Nordvästra Skaraborg.
Through cultivation coaches, lectures and local cultivation teams, a new working model is being developed to strengthen preparedness, biodiversity and individuals' agency. The result will be 60 new growers, 12 cultivation teams, a new working model and more sustainable meeting places in the three municipalities.
