GUEST HARBOUR NETWORK AROUND VÄTTERN

The development of guest harbours is an important part for visitors both by land and by waterway. The purpose of this project is to create a network for the guest harbours around Vättern and together identify what development needs exist to get a comprehensive picture and identify common needs and how to continue working further. The goals of the project are to create a network of guest harbours that facilitates knowledge exchange and joint development, increase knowledge about the development needs of guest harbours and make knowledge about sustainable harbour development accessible.

The activities in the project include project management, knowledge support, network meetings, study trips, mapping of the harbours' needs as well as
development of a knowledge guide for sustainable harbour development.

Guest Harbour Network around Vättern

Today there is no network or larger cooperation between the harbours in Vättern. Each harbour has to solve its own problems and rarely has anyone to turn to. 
The harbours are an important part of the tourism industry around Vättern. They are or could be important nodes for visitors
both from water and land.
